Spruce is preventing us from closing!

Spruce is my mom's solar company in Long Island, NY. We informed them well in advance about selling the house and asked how to transfer the lease on the solar panels. They had assured of a simple process, but it's been nearly 2 months of waiting to close.

That is the only holdup despite meeting all their requirements. Mom is stuck in a maze of inconsistent information from different reps, sometimes even within the same call! Our lawyer/escrow agent has also reached out by phone and email, and we cannot set the close date without the lease transferred to the buyer.

The latest promise was the 22nd, but even the paperwork they promised was wrong. With the anticipated closing date already passed, we're anxious about the home sale falling through for Mom's current home and her new house.
